hello and welcome back to my blog today I will talk about tech. Now some of you reading this may have done tech but here are the things we get to do like for example. Cooking woodwork plastic sowing. I have finished cooking and now I am doing plastics. Cooking was by far my favourite one so far and teaches me very useful skills. But plastics is really fun to so far I have got to make a dice and a name tag. I hope you have enjoyed my blog today see you next week!

my speech

This is my speech. It took me a couple weeks to make I hope you enjoy it!

What is sexism well sexism is were a male or female is put down or excluded because of there gender. So have you ever faced sexism or has someone you know faced sexism. If you or relative or friend havent you are pretty lucky because it is an horrible thing that has been around for hundreds of years and it is really comen. And there are many forms of sexism whether it be women get payed less than men or men get put down for doing a female job which is not true there are know female or male jobs.


Leading me into my first topic I will talk to you about today male and female jobs. First of all there are know male and female jobs so don't go thinking there are. Ok you wonder what is a male or female job well have you ever heard a male ballerina well you might have but you do not hear it much. And this is only a tiny part of it there are way way more forms of sexism and that is what I walk talk to you about next.


Did you know that New Zealand was the first country to let women vote on September the 19 1893. Isn't that great well some other countries saw this and thought well this is not ok and then a hole lot of other countries started letting women vote like America let women vote in 1920. And Saudi Arabia in 2011! Also America hasn't had 1 women president yet well they came very close but we all know how that story ended.


Now I will talk about sexism in kids now this topic will talk about girls and boys games or sports girls and boys colours and most importantly girls and boys toys. First of all boys and girls sports or games this one is a big one like for example a boy netball player this is not what kids like to do because they think it is for the girls to play. Also a girl rugby player now this one is a lot more common but still most female kids don't do this.


And now for my second kids topic kids colours. This one is also a really big one ranging all through a kids childhood. I think you all no the story but for some of you who don't blue and green and black are boy colours and pink and purple are girl colours. And normally what happens if a boy likes pink they will get picked on for this or if a girl likes blue they will also get picked on.


And last part of the kids topic is boys and girls toys. Why do people think that there are gender specific toy such as dolls prams and barbies for girls. Or trucks and action figures for boys why can't they play with other toys other than the ones that other boys play with or other girls play with. I think personally a big thing with it would be cometals or how they introduce the toy to the kid. Like for a add for a action figure it might have a lot of explosions and only boys in the advertisement or the opposite for a girl add with only girls in the add.


And now unfortunately I have to end my speech soon but first I want to talk about what we can do to stop sexism. Well something I think I can do is just spread the word but we could do many more things like. Putting both girls and boys and adds and having a female us president. And now I want you to think how can you stop sexism.

my art work

This is my art work. it is based of stopping racism because it is not getting better. I made this on google drawings Because it is a very useful and easy to use website if you want to make something like this. I took the photo on the built in camera app on my chrome book. Then I used a website called remove bg to get ride of the background of the photo. then I used lunapic to make it look super cool and have that dotted look.


And then for the quote I just got it of the internet and rote it out on google drawings. then for the stop sign I just got a picture of a stop sign gave it a mast then inserted it on google drawings as you can see on the photo. And last but not least the logo first I drew it out in my lined book showed it to the teachers and then they approved it for me and I then got a picture of a half circle put it on the google drawing put my name and what it stands for and then my poster was done

This is my follow up work that I did for my work shop. hope you like it, it took me quite a while to make.

Goals for term 2

My goals for term 2,

Getting html done because I want to get good at that code language. To achieve this goal I will have to work hard on html I am all ready on project 5. Ways I can achieve it is watching videos on it so I can get better. Another way I could do it is get tips from other kids to help me out when I am coding or if I get stuck on something.


Getting all the work done on time so I can get the treat at the end of the term. tho achieve this goal I have to work hard during school. Ways I can achieve this is going to the 8:30 slot in the morning. another way I could do it is getting help when I am stuck on a word or a maths question or a sentience I could write.

cross contry

when we did cross country it was really fun I came 6th to last place. I think I did really well and I can not wait for next year. I was in the year 7 boys race and there were about 30 of us. I was really prowled of my self next year I will try to do better. After the race we sat down on a tarp and chair on other kids we also told Jokes and play catch with a ball.

After we sat down we got to go and become a cone for the year 5/6 race. I was near another boy and 2 girls. Luckily I brought a drink bottle so I will not die of thirst but since I am such a good person I gave some other people water. After the chairing on we walk back to school. And when we got back to school we did work.

Quizizz is a web sit were you can create you own quiz. So far I have made one for school but I am working on a ww2 quiz. I really like this wed site and it is really easy to use and If you do not want to make a quiz you can play some from the trending page or you can type up different topics. Of your choice and there are thousands out there. I really recommend this website to every one it is a really cool website.
