Jurassic park

Hello and welcome back to my blog. Today I will talk to you about a movie I watched yesterday and my thoughts on it. Jurassic park, Jurassic park is about an Archaeologist / scientist who manged to bring dinosaurs back to life and wants to open a theme park on it. he then invite over his grand kids 2 Archaeologists and 1 scientist to test his park out. But after all electricity goes out all the dinosaurs are loose and people start to go missing / dying. The heroes have to save the day and escape the island. Jurassic park was the first to do meany things because before Jurassic park dinosaurs in movies were stop motion but now they were CGI (computer generated images). Have you ever watched Jurassic park?

Board Games

Hello and welcome back to my blog. Today I will talk to you about a board game I made based of the film series Indiana Jones. To play you put out the board and put your characters on the square that says 'START' you roll the dice and chose which direction you are going to go in (because in the game you don't go in a linear path so its a game about exploring). You also get 3 Health and once it drops to 0 you go back to the start or check point that you have

If you land on a tile that has a circle on it and inside has a number/letter you pick up one of the cards with the number on it and it is also now one of your check points that you can go to when you die.
If you land on the tile that says 'MUD SLIDE' you slide down the path it shows if the 'MUD SLIDE' takes you to another 'MUD SLIDE' then you slide down that one on the same turn.
If you land on the tile that says 'SPEAR TRAP' then you die and go back to the start or the any of the  check point.
If you land on the tile that says 'BIG TREE' and you have the glider in your equip then you can go to any other big tree tile on the board, if you don't have it then it does nothing.
If you land on the tile that says 'PIT FALL' then you go die and go back to the start or check point that you have passed over
If you land on the tile that says 'SPEAR FROM WALL' it minus's 2 Health.
If you land on the tile that says 'THICK BUSH' you get skipped a turn
If you land on the tile that says 'QUICK SAND' you get skipped 2 turns unless a player goes over your tile and you get unstuck.
If you land on the tile that says 'NATIVE PEOPLE' you die and go back to the start or one of the check points that you have got.
If you land on the tile that says 'WATER HOLE' your health goes back to 3 but you rest there so you get a turn skipped.
If you land on the tile that says 'NEED KEY' you can not go any further unless you get the key.
If you land on the tile that says 'ARROW FROM WALL' you lose 1 hp.

Now for the items you already know what the glider does so I will talk about the over items.

With the 'WHIP' you can swing over 'PIT FALLS' so you don't die.
With the 'GUN' you can shoot the 'NATIVE PEOPLE' who are trying to kill you so you don't die.
With the 'MACHETE' you can hack your way through 'THICK BUSH' so you don't get your turn skipped.
With the 'KEY' you can unlock the 'NEED KEY' so you and other players can go through the door.
With the 'TORCH' you can see these traps 'SPEAR TRAP' 'SPEAR FROM WALL' 'ARROW FROM WALL' so you don't die.
With the 'Treasure' you win by landing on 'END' but if you die with this item it goes to the space that you died on and if another player paces the tile or land on the tile they pick up the treasure and can try win to make it fare.

To win you need to reach the 'END' space with the treasure
Here is the board if you want to play just print it out find a dice and some things for your characters and have fun

(the items are in the same place so you know which one is which number)

Why Chicken Run is one of my favourite movies

Hello and welcome back to my blog. Today I will talk to you about why Chicken Run is one of my favourite movies of all time! So starting of with the visuals, well I really love the clay stop motion animation and it takes a lot of time to make so I really appreciate how dedicated Aardman Animations were to make this movie. Now for the sound track if you type up main titles Chicken Run theme on the internet you will be amazed by how good they made the sound track and they used instruments that I would not think of using like a kazoo and they did it well. And now the story, its awesome I don't want to spoil it so if you haven't watch it I 100% recommend it for kids and adults. Its funny, serious and quite sad at times. So that is why I like the movie so much.

Rocky

Hello and welcome back to my blog. Today I will talk to you about a movie I watched a few days ago. I'm pretty sure you know what it is because of the title but if you didn't read the title I watched Rocky. Rocky is now one of the best movies I have ever seen and its about a boxer by the name of Rocky Balboa and his nickname is the Italian Stallion. He gets a chance to become the heavy weight champion by beating Apollo Creed and I won't spoil the ending but it's really good.

Lord Of The Flies

Hello and welcome back to my blog. Today I will talk to you about a book that I have been reading called Lord of the flies. Lord of the flies despite its name it kinda is about a lord monster or as it is in described in the book "beastie" but the monster does not exist and its just all made up. In Lord of the flies a group of school boys get stuck on an island the older boys are no older then me (around 11-12-13 years old) and the younger ones are around 6 years of age. The boys make rules and have a leader but what I am up to in the book (half way) the boys just had a meating and it did not go to well with people getting made and want to break of from the main group and have fun and hunt/kill the pigs on the island. So far I am on chapter 6 and it is a really good book and it is one of my favorites.

WW2 Facts

Hello and welcome to my blog. It has been a long time since I have blogged but I think you know why that is. Well today I am going to write a blog on some history some of you may not know that I like history as much as I do but that is because at my school we don't do as much history as other subjects like reading, writing or math but that doesn't say we don't do history. So because there isn't much stuff to learn around the house I decided to write a paragraph on some of my knowledge and my new knowledge that I have now learnt from writing about this so here it is.

WW2 started on 1st of September 1939 and ended on the 2nd of September 1945 meaning it lasted 6 years and 1 day. There were hundreds of battles, too many to count so here are some of the more well known ones, their casualties for each side, who won the battles and when they took place. D day, D day took place on Omaha beach on June 6th 1944, there were 4000 - 9000 Axis deaths and 4413 Allied deaths and the Allied won. Battle of Crete, the battle of Crete took place at the Greek Island of Crete more than 1700 British and commonwealth lost their lives at the battle and 15000 were captured, 671 New Zealanders died and 2180 were taken prisoner, for the Germans 6000 were killed/wounded and the Germans one the battle of Crete.
